Note: Members do not serve the staff of organizations; they serve the community through direct, measurable service to individuals, a family or a group.

Service positions should not include clerical work, menial tasks, staff training, administrative or other incidental support activities, unless such activities clearly support the direct service objective and the time spent on these activities are not the member's primary responsibility.

Members may not raise funds for the cash-match or for general operating expenses. Other fund-raising is limited to 10% of a member's time.

Members may not write grants to obtain AmeriCorps or CNCS funding or for funding of other federal agencies.

Service should result in a specific, identifiable community service or improvement.

C.O.R.E. Susquehanna has developed several primary objectives of its program. Please check the area(s) that would best correlate with your proposed position.

Academic Support (tutor, after school programming, educational activities, service learning, etc.)

Human Needs (mentoring, counseling, crises prevention or intervention, provide needed information, etc)

Environment (education, clean up, data collection, maintain public lands, programming etc.)

Volunteer Development (Recruitment and Training of Volunteers)
